In his speech, the president stated that Uruguay “provides security to do business, due to the institutional framework and freedom available to it.”
He stressed that the strategic axes are: “Preserve human, animal, environmental health and food safety.”
In any case, the president expressed that support and partners are required. “We want them to invest and be owners, partners or shareholders of food generation.”
Private sector
The president stated that he was convinced that “the private sector is what makes a thriving country and makes it progress”, and stressed that it is the government “that has to generate clear regulations so that they can plan their activity and generate prosperity”.
“Freedom, for Uruguayans, is a very precious asset,” stressed the president, and assured that Uruguay is willing to offer the world the necessary elements to be free.
He said, before Arab businessmen, that the Uruguayan entrepreneurs who were present at the meeting can testify that Uruguay has to offer the world “stability”.
“In a turbulent world, our country ensures contracts, laws, institutions and, above all, peace. Uruguay led the way in environmental issues”, he remarked.
