In mid-May, a cargo plane with a crew made up of Iranians and Venezuelans arrived in the country. They were in the country for about three days and brought a load of cigarettes from Horacio Cartes’s tobacco company; Tabesa.
The plane was stopped a week ago in Buenos Aires, Argentina, after wandering around the continent for several weeks for not having authorization to land. The alert that jumped on the plane was that its crew would be a terrorist according to the United States Intelligence Service.
Félix Kanazawa, head of the National Directorate of Civil Aeronautics (Dinac), in an interview with 730 AM, stated that he did not know which company had rented the plane that brought the Iranian and Venezuelan crew.
Likewise, he reported that Gustavo Sandoval, deputy director of security, was removed from his position after the incident. He was director of airports at the time.
“All the papers are reviewed and there is a protocol in which the company, the airline has to present before entering the country. What was not communicated to the National Intelligence Secretariat (SNI) ”, he stated.
CONTROLS
He stated that a police escort accompanied the delegation to the Dazzler Hotel. And in the closed circuits the movements of the 18 crew members are recorded. What is striking is that the senior official avoided specifying why this delegation had said protection, considering that not every crew can benefit from it.
