Julio Rodríguez, specialist in E-commerce: ‘Panama should be positioned in electronic commerce’


He stated that before the pandemic, no one knew what electronic commerce was.

The specialist in E-commerce, Julio Rodríguez, spoke this Friday on Radio Panama about shopping online, its advantages and possible risks.

In Rodríguez’s opinion, Panama, being a Logistics Hub, “I think we should also be positioned in electronic commerce.”

He stated that before the pandemic, no one knew what electronic commerce was.

He specified that Panama has a credit card penetration of 8%, which is quite low, but “it has risen because financial entities have issued credit cards.”
