Julio César Arriola, new foreign minister, was ambassador to the UN, Itaipu priority agenda

 

Ariola is currently Paraguayan ambassador in New York to the United Nations (UN).

the future negotiations of Annex C of the Itaipu Treaty, as well as the agreement for the cost of energy that is still pending, are two of the current priority issues in the Foreign Ministry. The 57-year-old diplomat took up the current position he held during the period of government of Horacio Cartes, who swore him in as representative ambassador of Paraguay in March 2017. Since then he has been in the position for the different diplomatic issues of the country before the UN.
