The Vice Minister of Communication Management, isbemar jimenezstressed that the journalist must maintain ethics and rigor, as well as manage the information with quality, from any communication platform, and it is the main challenge, which must be wagered in the country, with the purpose that the news is true and timely.
This was highlighted in an interview with journalists from Telesur, Enrique Guevara, and from the newspaper Últimas Noticias, Eligio Rojas, regarding the National Journalist’s Day in Venezuela, granted in the program coffee in the morning, which was broadcast on Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).
He highlighted that last year the National Journalism Award innovated with the theme of awarding awards on different digital platforms, and this year a broader selection of communication professionals, engaged in 2.0 networks, was made. “This is a learning process that implies the readaptation of the criteria, of how to approach the news, but it will always be from the ethics of a journalist.”

For his part, the journalist Enrique Guevara, expressed the importance of responsibility in the use of new technologies in the communication role, as well as affirmed that there is a democratization by the inclusion of the different media to project the information.
“The democratization of communication is a very wide range, because we are in the new decade of 2.0 networks. We have to innovate and constantly learn about the management of new social networks every day, anyone can communicate, but not all of us are journalists”, she emphasized.
Meanwhile, the social communication professional, Eligio Rojas, assured that the great challenge that communicators have is to preserve the basic principles of journalism and rescue the work of journalists from the street.
