Jorge Rodríguez: Venezuela will have legal instruments to defend itself from any aggression

The National Assembly (AN) will expedite all laws that allow the Venezuelan State to “equip itself with all legal instruments; military, civil, functioning of the State institutions to defend ourselves from any form of aggression, because we have the duty to defend the integrity of the territory,” stated its president, Congressman Jorge Rodríguez.

Rodríguez recalled that the AN unanimously approved in 2024, the Simón Bolívar Organic Law against the blockade and against any form of aggression, which stipulates “severe penalties for those stateless people who, denying their own condition, are those who have lived and become millionaires at the expense of requesting sanctions and, at the same time, illegally getting their hands on resources, belonging to Venezuela and frozen abroad.”

Face extreme actions against the Republic

He highlighted that this law “seeks to provide the Venezuelan State with sufficient tools to confront this type of extreme actions against the Republic,” which is why he told President Nicolás Maduro, present at the act of installation of the Bodies of the Directorate for the Comprehensive Defense of the Nation (Oddi) that the legislative power will provide speed to advance the approval of “all types of laws”, such as the Simón Bolívar Organic Law.

He continued by pointing out that, “many come out to scream in the world, after they threaten Venezuela with invasions, calls for murders, blockades, usurpation of functions and theft of the country’s resources and it seems that Venezuela is the only one that has to put up with that.” ”.
