Jaime Díaz Quintero water treatment plant will suspend operations on Tuesday, March 8

The Institute of National Aqueducts and Sewers (Idaan) communicates that on Tuesday, March 8, the Jaime Díaz Quintero water treatment plant will suspend operations due to work to change pump #1 of the raw water intake.

The work will be carried out from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will affect the water supply with low pressure in the Corregimientos del Coco and Guadalupe and without supply of drinking water in the Corregimiento de Playa Leona, Barriadas Costa Oeste, Villas de Costa Oeste, Residencial Don Juan and surroundings, as well as Jardines de Mastranto, Lomas de Mastranto, all of this in the district of La Chorrera, in turn the Corregimiento Juan Demóstenes Arosemena and part of Vista Alegre in the district of Arraiján will be without drinking water supply.

All necessary measures will be taken to reduce the effects of this maintenance, attending to sensitive points such as hospitals in the districts of La Chorrera and Arraiján that are affected through tank cars.

Idaan recommends taking the necessary measures to avoid shortages during the time the works last and the system is recovered.
