The ITAIPU Tourist Complex will remain open to the public during this Holy Week at the usual times. In addition, this year the Entity will offer its visitors, during Good Friday, the traditional chipa accompanied by the burned sweet stew; typical foods in the Paraguayan tradition on these dates. In this way, the Binational adheres to the promotion of domestic tourism during holy days.
For guided visits to the Hydroelectric Power Plant, the available times are 08:00, 09:00, 10:00, 10:30, 13:10, 14:00 and 14:30. The Monumental Illumination can be appreciated on Holy Friday and Saturday, the accreditations will be made from 18:30 and the buses will enter the dam at 19:45.
The ITAIPU Tierra Guaraní Museum, which is usually open from Tuesday to Sunday, will receive tourists at 08:00, 09:00, 10:00, 11:00, 13:15, 14:15 and 15:00. . At the same time, interested persons will be able to visit the Reduced Model of the dam. The Costanera Hernandarias and the Manuel Ortiz Guerrero Linear Park in Ciudad del Este will remain open all week, from 06:00 to 21:00.
The Tatí Yupí Nature Reserve is enabled from Tuesday to Sunday, from 08:00 to 11:45, and from 13:00 to 15:30. For its part, the Mbaracayú Biological Refuge (Salto del Guairá) will await tourists at 08:30, 09:30, 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 13:30, 14:30, 15: 30 and 16:00, from Wednesday to Sunday.
Prior reservation is required for access to the ITAIPU Tierra Guaraní Museum, the Monumental Illumination, the Reduced Model, as well as guided visits to the Hydroelectric Power Plant, the Tatí Yupí Nature Reserve and the Mbaracayú Biological Refuge. The entrance to the Costanera de Hernandarias and the CDE Manuel Ortiz Guerrero Linear Park does not require prior scheduling.
