The economist and labor consultant, René Quevedo, analyzed this Wednesday the economic situation of the country and the generation of employment.

In Quevedo’s opinion, the generation of employment must become the first priority. “As long as we continue in the health paranoia, we will continue to suffer from unemployment. The enemy is not the virus, it is hunger. Tourism is kidnapped by the paranoia of the health company,” he added.

He stressed that it is time to see what other countries are doing, such as the Dominican Republic, which has eliminated all Covid-19 measures, and “I think we have to do that too.”

“We need three things right now: trust, investment because without private investment there will be no job creation and consumption; without trust there will be no investment and without consumption there will be no way to make these investments profitable,” he said.
