Inumet updated a yellow alert for strong storms and the orange alert ceased

The Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology (inumet) issued a yellow alert for strong storms and the orange alert ceased.

As reported by the institute, “in stormy areas, intense rains may be recorded in short periods, occasional hail, intense electrical activity and strong gusts of wind.”

The alert governs from 9:00 p.m. this Tuesday to 01:00 a.m. Wednesday and will be modified upon significant changes.

Localities affected by the yellow alert:

Long Hill: Aceguá, Arachania, Arbolito, Hipodromo neighborhood, La Vinchuca neighborhood, López Benítez neighborhood, Bathed in the medina, Cerro de las Cuentas, Dead Friar, Getulio Vargas, Isidoro Noblía, La Pedrera, Lake Merín, Las Cañas, Melo, Plácido Rosas, Town Uruguay, Ramón Trigo, Rio Branco, Toledo and Tres Islas.

Rivera: Arroyo Blanco, Las Flores, Paso Hospital and Vichadero.

Tacuarembó: Ansina, Caraguata, Clara, La Hilera, Las Toscas, Pueblo de Arriba, Pueblo de Barro and Punta de Carretera.

Thirty-three: Zapata and Rincón rice cooker.
