Venezuela participates in the Meeting of Ministers of Agriculture of CELAC

The People’s Power Minister for Productive Agriculture and Land, Wilmar Castro Soteldo, participates in the Meeting of Ministers of Agriculture of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac) under the motto “Agriculture unites people – Food and Nutrition Security for Our Americas”, which takes place in Guyana.

The information was released by Castro Soteldo through his social networks, where he indicated that the meeting will serve as a space to review the current state of Agriculture in the block, discuss key issues that affect the sector and explore opportunities for cooperation between the Member States, and exchange good practices and experiences.

In another context, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, advocated on June 26 for the independence of Latin America and the Caribbean in scientific matters, and proposed the creation of the Latin American and Caribbean Center for Applied Research in Science and Technology, during the installation of the Work Meeting dedicated to scientific and technological exchange, held at the Casona Cultural de Caracas.

The national president stressed that “from our Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, from the unitary perspective, we are advancing in the construction of that identity that expresses that diversity.”
