From 6:30 a.m. a orange alert in the central west of Uruguay due to heavy rains and stormsto which is added a yellow alert for the same cause throughout the center and part of the south of the countryinformed the Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology (Inumet).
In the localities under the orange alert, you can expect “intense rains in short periods, hail fall, intense electrical activity and very strong gusts of wind”. The area covers mostly the departments of Rio Negro, Paysandu and Saltobeside Tacurarembó and Peach.
In the areas on yellow alert, which also include a part of the north and northeastare anticipated “intense rains in short periods, occasional hail, intense electrical activity and strong gusts of wind”. It covers the departments of Montevideo, San Jose, Florida and Flores in its entirety, reaches Black river in the west and reaches Rivera in the east and Jump in the north.

Peach: Aguas Buenas, Baygorria, Blanquillo, Centenario, La Paloma, Pueblo Centenario and San Jorge.
Paysandu: the whole department.
Black river: Algorta, General Borges, Grecco, Menafra, Paso de los Mellizos, Sarandí de Navarro and Villa María.
Rivera: Amarillo, Cerro Pelado, Las Flores and Minas de Corrales.
Jump: Albisu, Biassini, Campo de Todos, Cerro de Vera, Colonia 18 de Julio, Colonia Itapebí, Constitución, Garibaldi, Itapebí, Puntas de Valentín, Salto, San Antonio, Saucedo and Termas del Daymán.
