Polisucre officials seized a batch of 630 kilos of contaminated fish that they intended to distribute in the Petare area, whose animal protein was transported in the trunk of a car and the cabin of a truck driver, without refrigeration.
The information was released by the Director of Polisucre, Orlando Tovar, who pointed out that three citizens were arrested for the act, who were transporting the merchandise, endangering the health of the community in the Petare area, an area where they intended to sell the product. product, refers to a press release.
“The citizen mayor of the Sucre municipality, José Vicente Rangel Ávalos, has issued instructions so that this security body works jointly with the communities and it was precisely the residents of the Petare area who alerted us to this irregularity, which we have been investigating. since last week,” Tovar said.
He indicated that all merchants engaged in the commercialization of animal protein, be it chicken, meat or fish must have the respective sanitary permits, refrigerated trucks, origin and destination guide.
“We alert the neighbors so that they do not acquire and consume these products of suspicious origin, while we invite them to report any sale of products that do not comply with sanitary regulations, since prevention is everyone’s task,” said Tovar.
