In Panama, more than 896 thousand people have suffered from Covid-19


The total number of people recovered from the disease amounts to 867,480, of which 1,998 are newly recovered today. 11,133 tests were applied for a positivity of 18.7%.

In the last 24 hours, according to the Department of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health, Panama reported 2,080 new positive cases, for a cumulative 896,924 cases of Covid-19. A new death and one accumulated from previous days are reported for 8,314 accumulated deaths and a lethality that remains at 0.9%.

The total number of people recovered from the disease amounts to 867,480, of which 1,998 are newly recovered today. 11,133 tests were applied for a positivity of 18.7%.

Active cases total 21,130 throughout the country. 20,853 are in home isolation and 277 hospitalized. Those in isolation are divided into 20,820 at home and 33 in hotels. Those hospitalized are 243 Ward and 34 in ICU.

The districts with the highest number of positive cases today are: Juan Díaz (Panama) with 86 cases; San Francisco (Panama) 85 cases; Rufina Alfaro with 75 cases; Bethania 66 cases and Bella Vista (Panama) 63 cases
