sizing the war

sizing the war

We live in turbulent times, obviously. Pope Francis, in a conversation with his Jesuit brothers, spoke of the fact that we are probably already in a third World War.

Biden had spoken in the same way since a reunion at the Summit of the Americas with some leaders with whom he met in Los Angeles last week.

The big question is what characteristics does this Third World War have? Will it be one that undermines people’s pockets, puts millions of people in poverty, generates a situation of generalized famine?

All these questions have to be answered, how to face something that we were not used to in these terms.

We understood world confrontations as ideological clashes between different models of societies; Now, however, it seems that everyone agrees on something in trade, but there is a frontal struggle in all fields that makes people live in a more miserable way and in poverty in general.

In Paraguay, with a new impact on the economy, with the increase in the minimum wage, 11% inflation, we are also on the way to a reality with which we must learn to alleviate, and our leaders must tell us how to do it.
