A preliminary report on the analysis of the Financial and Actuarial Statements of the Social Security Fund (CSS), will be presented by the International Labor Organization (ILO), at the end of June and beginning of July.

Said report will be delivered to the Plenary Table for the National Dialogue by the CSS (DNC), with a view to finding a solution to the financial crisis that the Disability, Old Age and Death Program (IVM) is going through.

“Heeding the clamor from various sectors and for a vote at the table, the Social Security Fund and the National Government contract the ILO to validate and present an analysis of the Financial Statements and we are at that point right now, we are hoping that at the beginning of July maximum, we will have the first approximation to this report”, he said

He stressed that for the month of August or September, the final report could be available that provides all the tools to be able to seek solutions for the good of the institution.

According to Lau Cortés, the report, which the ILO will be presenting to the National Dialogue for the CSS, holds out the hope that a way out can be found for the sustainability of the pension fund, specifically in the exclusive defined benefit system.
