In closed training, Brazil keeps mystery before taking on Switzerland

Coach Tite closed the Brazilian team’s training session to the press this Saturday (26), at the Grand Hamad Stadium, in Doha. Of the 26 players called up by Tite, 23 went to the pitch. In addition to wing-back Danilo and Neymar, both with ankle injuries and who are sure to be out of the game for the next round, another absence was that of striker Antony. According to the press office of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), the Manchester United (England) player presented “discomfort”. He had already been out of training on Friday (25), when only the athletes who did not play in the starting line-up participated in the movement on the pitch.

In training this Saturday, Tite started working with the team that will start against the Swiss. Without Danilo, Daniel Alves is the favorite to play, with defender Éder Militão (who can be improvised in the sector) running on the outside. For Neymar’s place, the coach has as options midfielders Fred and Bruno Guimarães, midfielder Everton Ribeiro and striker Rodrygo.

Brazil leads Group G with the same three points as Switzerland, but with a positive balance of two goals, due to the 2-0 victory over Serbia last Thursday (24), with two goals by Richarlison. On the same day, the Swiss beat Cameroon by 1 to 0. Also striker Breel Embolo (Cameroonian by birth and naturalized in 2014) scored for the European team. Whoever wins, ensures classification to the round of 16 in advance.
