In the raid carried out by prosecutors Alicia Sapriza, from the Specialized Organized Crime Unit, and Osmar Legal, from the Economic Crimes and Anti-Corruption Unit, in the house of the former Minister of the Interior, Arnaldo Giuzzio, several pieces of equipment and documentation were seized.
Prosecutors Osmar Legal and Alicia Sapriza charged the former Minister of the Interior, Arnaldo Giuzzio, with Aggravated Passive Bribery and requested alternative measures to prison. The Brazilian Prosecutor’s Office forwarded the messages of Marcos Vinicius with Giuzzio, where it is shown that there is a link between the two since 2021.
In the early hours of this Tuesday, a prosecutor-police delegation carried out a raid on Giuzzio’s home, from where they managed to seize various computer equipment and documentation that will serve to continue investigating the case.
Among the evidence seized is a document related to the Black Eagle company, of the narco Vinicius.

The indictment released this day refers that the contacts between Giuzzio and Marcus Vinicius began in July 2021 and in August of the same year there were conversations via WhatsApp.
In October 2021, conversations were confirmed in which the Marquis of Padua, through WhatsApp messages, sent Giuzzio a copy of a link with a screenshot of a news item about the lavajato case.
In November 2021 Vinicius contacted the then Minister of the Interior again to indicate that he was in Asunción and that he already had the ballistics tests of the materials for the vests.
In December 2021, the conversations between the alleged drug trafficker and the accused intensified.
The Public Ministry also refers to conversations between the Marquis of Padua and the then Vice Minister of Security Pablo René Ríos, who asks the alleged drug trafficker if they would be able to make investments in Paraguay and the opinion of the businessmen.
According to the indictment, Giuzzio was aware of the intentions of the Marquis of Padua to be a supplier to the State and to obtain future awards from the Ministry of the Interior and from whom he would have accepted the repair of several armored vehicles of the National Police. Even one of them as a courtesy.
However, despite this knowledge, at the end of December 2021, he would have requested help from Marcus Vinicius himself, a representative of the Blackeagle Group SA firms, to be provided with a vehicle for personal-family use, for his displacement in Brazil, presumably on the occasion of his vacations that he was taking advantage of in that country.
The Prosecutor’s Office suspects that Giuzzio did not make any consideration for Marcus Vinicius’ vehicle, nor did the Blackeagle Group issue an invoice to the then Minister of the Interior since the vehicle would have been loaned and not leased.
