three representatives of the International Labor Organization (ILO) will attend the Third Social Dialogue Forum, an event to be held starting today on the island of Margarita.
The delegation of the UN body is made up of two envoys from the ILO Office for the Andean Countries, based in Lima, Peru, and a representative of the headquarters located in Geneva, Switzerland, said a source close to logistics.

It is expected that the agenda of the event, to be held between January 30 and February 2, favors spaces for dialogue between the Government, employers and workers.

Today’s agenda includes bilateral meetings between the Government and employers’ and workers’ organizations to review progress, pending issues, and the bilateral agenda.
The ILO would play a role of facilitating the dialogue with an introductory intervention during the tripartite round table and work to consolidate the proposals presented by the delegates during the event, the informant indicated.
To fulfill this facilitating role, the International Organization it will prepare a follow-up program that it will later present to the consideration of the participants in the forum. All this based on the proposals formulated by the different actors in the deliberations.

In a second round, each representative of the organizations would present proposals for action related to each topic, the source explained.
· The ILO has a schedule to present a balance on the pending actions and the new ones that have been identified in the bilateral meetings of the Forum. There will also be a round of proposals on how and when to move forward. They will take note of the statements made on sensitive issues or situations postponed in compliance with previous agreements to present them to the government.
