"I felt that my case was a kind of political femicide," says Rosario Robles

“I didn’t betray anyone. I walk out with my head held high. I did not betray myself or my principles or my ideals. That allows me to be calm. I have a passion for Mexico in my blood. Right now I have to complete a legal process, ”she explained.

Rosario Robles pointed out that the most important thing at this time is to prove his innocence to erase “all the mud” that fell on him.

“Afterwards we will look for spaces to be able to participate and contribute to reconciliation,” he said.

“I am not a woman of revenge, I am a woman of justice. I want justice in my case and in all others. And social justice and justice in the country. No need to feed grudges. It is something that I learned a lot,” she added.

Rosario Robles left jail on August 19.

On August 19, Judge Ganther Alejandro Villar Ceballos determined to modify the precautionary measure of Rosario Robles from preventive detention to periodic presentation before the judicial authority, for which he was released.

At that time, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) confirmed that on August 17 the request was made to be able to continue his trial in freedom with the imposition of the restrictions that the law indicates for these cases, because various diseases afflict him and because of his age.

The institution assessed Robles’ state of health and the security measures that guarantee his presence in the process, for which he requested the control judge’s approval to modify the precautionary measure of justified preventive detention.

Robles Berlanga is accused of improper exercise of public service in her modality of omission, because as Secretary of Urban Development (Sedatu) and Social Development (Sedesol) in the six-year term of Enrique Peña Nieto, she would have known of millionaire diversions for more than 5,073 million of pesos, without informing his hierarchical superior, the head of the federal Executive.

Those irregularities of which he was allegedly aware are those related to the plot known as the “Master Scam”, a scheme that would have been used in the Peña Nieto government for the diversion of public resources.
