Hugo Beras is sworn in as the new director of Intrant

Santo Domingo.-The Minister of Public Works and Communications, Deligne Ascención, in his capacity as President of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Traffic and Transportation (Intrant) took the oath this Thursday to Hugo Beras as the new director of the entity.

“The person who has been designated here is someone who has developed a widely known activity with this issue of transportation and traffic and we have no doubt that he will continue this and other initiatives that this institution will benefit of the Dominican Republic and of those of us who live in it, my congratulations”, said Ascención

For his part, Beras thanked President Luis Abinader for his confidence in appointing him as head of Intrant.

Beras said that he assumed the commitment to implement the entire traffic, transportation and road safety plan with the determination and transparency that characterizes the government headed by President Abinader.

He maintained that he has the support of the president, of Ascención, as well as the outgoing director, Rafael Arias, to carry out the tasks he assumes from this moment.

Beras was appointed by the Executive Power through decree 414-22 as the new director of Intrant on Wednesday night, replacing Arias, who was appointed as advisor to the President on public transport matters.
