A man was arrested at a stand at the La Rural property, located in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Palermo, for selling badges and patches with Nazi symbols during the International Hunting, Fishing and Outdoors Fair, police sources reported.
During the procedure, in charge of the Antiterrorism Division of the City Police, they kidnapped “a large number of metal badges and patches with Nazi symbology” and the person in charge of the stand was arrested, accused of violating Article 3 of Law 23,592 on Penalization of Discriminatory Acts.
Some 70 metal badges were found in a box, 3 metal rings, 62 badges in another box and 76 elements of the same material located in a third compartment, the City Police reported.
In addition, envelopes with eight DVDs, a catalog with Nazi insignia, 25 cloth patches, three sheets with Nazi symbols, a metal eagle, a plate with metallic insignia and an ashtray linked to Nazi ideology were found.
The investigation began with the complaint of a man who appeared at the headquarters of the Anti-Terrorism Division of the City Police to report that a person was selling military leftovers with Nazi symbols at a Fair stand.
Consequently, the Criminal, Misdemeanor and Misdemeanor Prosecutor’s Office No. 8, with the intervention of the North Flagrancia Unit in charge of Carolina Marró, requested investigative tasks that confirmed the denounced fact and, once the person responsible was identified, the search warrant was issued.
As a result of the operation, the stand was closed and the accused was transferred to the City Police Mayor’s Office, in addition to the kidnapping of all the elements found.
