A man died after receiving an ax blow to the head by the ex-partner of the woman he was dating, an event that occurred on 3rd street in the Simón Rodríguez sector, Ramón Ignacio Méndez parish, Barinas state.
According to state media, the victim responds to the name of Yajure Mendoza, a 32-year-old man. His perpetrator is currently on the run; It is presumed that he is hospitalized in a mountainous area of the entity.
On the day of the incident, January 15, Mendoza visited the woman again and the alleged murderer arrived at the house. Upon noticing Mendoza’s presence, he tried to enter the house and, unable to do so, left the place.
After a while he returned to the house with an ax in his hand, a knife with which he violently attacked Mendoza.
The victim was with the woman and a third person, but the perpetrator did not care and decided to attack Mendoza’s head with the gun, ending his life. The authorities are working on the case.
