The Prosecutor’s Office filed a complaint of alleged rape of a teenager 16 years in a party of the National Party. The young woman claimed to have been sexually abused by several young people during a party organized by the youth of the PN of Montevideoin the framework of a celebration for the victory of the “No” in the referendum against 135 articles of the Law of Urgent Consideration (LUC).
The Prosecutor’s Office, headed by Alicia Ghione, made the decision to archive the case for two main reasons: the victim and her family requested it and, furthermore, the Prosecutor’s Office did not find sufficient elements to continue with the case.
According to a police report, the teenager stated that she had consensual sex with two men and then, in the bathroom of the place, she was abused by two other young people. Those close to the young woman assured that she passed out after consuming alcoholic beverages and having seizures.
