Weapons and drugs were seized by the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) during a patrol carried out in the Turimiquire mountain range, Cumaná (Sucre), according to military sources. Yovani José Ortiz López and Luis Antonio López Márquez were captured at that site, says the report.
A marijuana panela, 4,900 cannabis seeds, a plant from which marijuana is extracted, and a 12-gauge shotgun were seized from the arrested subjects.
They presume that these individuals were preparing land in the Turimiquire to proceed with the planting of cannabis seeds.
And in El Vigía, Mérida, officials attached to the Strategic Investigations Directorate of the Bolivarian National Police detained two subjects allegedly involved in drug trafficking.
The detainees are: Richard Alonzo Hernández Acano (26) and José Gregorio Rojas Rondón (33). These people seized five marijuana panels, two cell phones, two bags and two motorcycles.
