The commissioner of the National Police, Sergio Delgado, explained that this is a synthetic drug and is made up of various chemicals that can be lethal to those who consume it.
He explained that at the time of consumption, by inhalation, its effects can last 1 or 2 hours. “When it happens we can see in people the dilation of the pupils and changes in mood, confusion, an effect that lasts between 4 to 8 hours,” she said.
In 2021, the National Police seized 400 envelopes or doses of this substance and so far this year 389 envelopes and 4 regular-sized bags, whose weight ranged from 1 kilogram.
According to Delgado, the tusi is being promoted in nightclubs, where its main clientele is youth. At the same time, he pointed out that its sale price is high, costing three times more than regular cocaine.
