The Robbery Investigation Brigade (Biro) of the Chilean Investigative Police prevented a robbery at a bank in the Almendral sector of Valparaíso.
Biro detectives discovered two foradoes in an uninhabited building adjacent to the bank, which would allow criminals to enter the premises.
The PDI, in coordination with the Public Ministry, carried out various procedures that allowed the collection of evidence of criminal interest, which will serve to identify those responsible for the crime.
The rapid action of the civil police allowed coordination with the head of security of the bank, who reported the facts to his superiors, thus managing to prevent the robbery of the branch.
The change of the security padlocks by third parties unrelated to the owner was key in detecting the crime, which allowed the PDI detectives to detect the holes in the wall of the building adjacent to the bank.
