Since 2010, cultural agents Blackcloak organize the International Itinerant Theater Festival through Chiloé Profundo (FITICH), 12 years that have had as main objective, co-design and co-build quality cultural programming in various organizations and territories in the Lakes Region.
On this occasion, the new tour of FITICHwhich begins the first week of April, includes workshops and activities in different locations in the region: Quellón, Achao, Chaitén, Huequi, Reidehue, Queilen, Castro, Isla Huar and Tenaun. This initiative is funded by the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage through its Support Program for Collaborating Cultural Organizations
This time it has a historical focus for the organization, since it has been proposed every year to carry out even more participatory interventions, where the community can decide what they like and want to explore in the workshops.
“Today we are consolidating a dream that we have planned for a long time, which is to break down geographical barriers and begin to nurture different territorial organizations from different areas of our region with cultural activities throughout the year”comment Gabriela Recabarrendirector of the cultural organization CapaNegra, “We want all towns, no matter how far away, to be able to access cultural activities and be the ones to decide what they need and want to see”he adds.
The “black sheep” it is our symbol to travel the territory, taking this figure as an eternal companion of our landscapes and inviting us to leave behind the negative image of that lost sheep, transforming diversity into an invitation to create, think, dream and imagine.
“We work with school communities, artists, groups of older adults, youth, children, among others, to collect their concerns and needs regarding their development and cultural training, socialize our programming proposal for this year, consisting of various courses and workshops and carry out a first round of theater workshops for children and young people.”
The CapaNegra cultural network includes more than 25 territorial organizations that cover the entire Lakes Region. Some of the territories where it maintains a presence are Chiloé, Palena, Calbuco and Chaitén.
