Primero Justicia assures that a new phase of struggle has begun in the country, marked by greater authoritarian escalation and affirms that more “political resilience, strategic creativity and personal righteousness” is needed to defend democracy.


The Primero Justicia Political Party sent a message to its membership, to other Venezuelans and to the international community to establish a position on the events that occurred on January 9 and 10, highlighting its commitment to democracy, truth and respect for the results. of the presidential elections of July 28.

PJ called on all the political forces that live in the country and that seek democracy to “deepen the ties that unite us and expand the spaces for organization and citizen participation.” In the same way, he called on the National Armed Forces (FAN) to defend national sovereignty and enforce the Constitution.

He game He also thanked the international community for the displays of solidarity and stated that this support “weakens the regime and strengthens our cause” and warned about the “authoritarian escalation that is developing in our region.” They alleged that Nicolás Maduro, Miguel Díaz-Canel (Cuba) and Daniel Ortega (Nicaragua) are part of an anti-democratic axis that, together with China, Iran and Russia, “attacks peace in the West.”

Primero Justicia also highlighted the bravery of the Venezuelans who went out to demonstrate on January 9 after the call of María Corina Machado, leader of the opposition, and claimed that they overcame fear by reiterating the desires for democracy. He also highlighted the heroism of Juan Pablo Guanipa, national leader of this political team, who accompanied Machado in the fight for freedom.

Primero Justicia described this moment as the beginning of a new phase of struggle, marked by further authoritarian escalation. «A period of autocratic debasement begins that will require political resilience, strategic creativity and personal rectitude. We commit to remaining firm and faithful in the fight for respect for the election results of July 28. Wherever the regime tries to impose its lies, it will find us clinging to the truth and willing to assert it,” they expressed in the statement.

The party concluded its message by reaffirming its commitment to democracy and calling on Venezuelans to persevere on this path: »“Before us there are only two options: dictatorship or democracy. “First Justice, always at the side of Venezuelans, has chosen democracy and encourages the entire country to persevere on this path.”
