The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) seized more than 47 tons of drugs such as cocaine, marijuana, and other types of illicit substances, during this 2022.
According to a press release, the actions are part of the Bolivarian Shield Operation.
During this year, FANB officials also carried out 99 operational deployments, through patrol actions, aerial reconnaissance, land and river scrutiny.
In these operations, it was possible to destroy 441 camps, 61 clandestine drug laboratories, 122 logistic facilities, 138 boats, 45 disabled aircraft, 118 runways destroyed, 30 units of heavy machinery destroyed and more than 3,900 kilos of explosives.
Similarly, more than 400 long weapons and 900 short weapons, 1,301 chargers, 172 improvised mortars, 60,428 ammunition of different calibers, 2 submarines and four helicopters were seized.
The Bolivarian Shield Operation has the purpose of liberating all regions and sectors of the criminal groups Armed Terrorists Drug Traffickers of Colombia (TANCOL).
