The National Armed Forces (FAN) issued a statement this Saturday, January 11, in which it expresses its “strong” rejection of the measures imposed on Nicolás Maduro and other State officials such as Vladimir Padrino López, Minister of Defense, and other members of the Senior General Staff by the United States, the European Union and the United Kingdom.
In the statement, which was first published on social networks and then read on national television, the members of the FAN also condemned the rewards offered by the United States to achieve the capture of Maduro and Padrino, which are $25 million and $15 million, respectively.
The military institution said that a “spurious reward will not make a dent in the physical and spiritual strength of both recognized leaders,” who will remain “firm as the oak and upright as the saman, to continue leading the nation correctly.”
