FAN rejects recent “sanctions” and reward for the capture of Maduro and Padrino

FAN rechaza sanciones y recompensa por Maduro

The FAN believes that the fact that the US, the European Union and the United Kingdom have announced these sanctions on the same day that Nicolás Maduro was sworn in for the period 2025-2031 only seeks to delegitimize the military leadership.

The National Armed Forces (FAN) issued a statement this Saturday, January 11, in which it expresses its “strong” rejection of the measures imposed on Nicolás Maduro and other State officials such as Vladimir Padrino López, Minister of Defense, and other members of the Senior General Staff by the United States, the European Union and the United Kingdom.

In the statement, which was first published on social networks and then read on national television, the members of the FAN also condemned the rewards offered by the United States to achieve the capture of Maduro and Padrino, which are $25 million and $15 million, respectively.

The military institution said that a “spurious reward will not make a dent in the physical and spiritual strength of both recognized leaders,” who will remain “firm as the oak and upright as the saman, to continue leading the nation correctly.”

In the opinion of the FAN, the fact that these countries have announced these sanctions on the same day that Nicolás Maduro was sworn in for the period 2025-2031 seeks to delegitimize the military leadership and weaken an institution that they claim remains “unharmed” by what they They call it a “diffuse war against Venezuela.”

The military claimed, through its communicationthe actions of Nicolás Maduro and the FAN in the fight against drug trafficking, terrorism, mercenary groups, against those who want to generate violence, against illegal mining and against “other forms of transnational crime” and emphasized that they are not “a platform for domination.” », but territory of peace.

For the FAN, these actions by foreign governments only allow “cohesion and absolute union in the demand for respect” for their “leaders and hierarchical superiors” to be strengthened much more.

On Friday the 10th, after the inauguration of Nicolas Maduro in the National Assembly, the National Armed Forces and police forces took an oath of “loyalty and absolute subordination.”

From the patio of the Military Academy, General in Chief Vladimir Padrino López, said that the country is “again facing a coalition of foreign powers led by the United States of America, the latter reaching the unusual extreme of declaring us an unusual and extraordinary threat to its security and foreign policy.
