Maduro recalls the €2.6 million allocated for "urban reorganization" in Las Tejerías

FAN dismantled 61 laboratories to produce drugs in 2022, according to Maduro

Venezuela continues to be on the black list of nations that, for the United States, fail to comply with their international commitments against drug trafficking or are platforms for drug trafficking. In this case, she is portrayed together with Latin American countries such as Colombia, Mexico, Haiti and Nicaragua.

Nicolás Maduro affirmed that during this 2022 the National Armed Forces (FAN) carried out 10 operations to expel the tancol, which is the acronym invented by his government to refer, in general, to “Colombian drug-trafficking armed terrorists.”

According to what he said in an act of salutation to the military, carried out this Wednesday, December 28, such operations were carried out in nine states of the country (Zulia, Guárico, Apure, Táchira, Monagas, Sucre, Falcón, Delta Amacuro and Bolívar) and involved 99 deployments of Venezuelan troops in which, among other actions, 61 laboratories to produce drugs were dismantled and 441 camps of alleged criminal gangs were destroyed.

Also, according to the information presented by the Venezuelan ruler, the officials located 118 clandestine airstrips and found 45 aircraft “intruders in the airspace of Venezuela”, which were used for drug trafficking.

In this sense, Maduro asked Vladimir Padrino López, Minister of Defense with eight years in office and, until now, the holder with the longest tenure in the military office, to coordinate his plans with the Ministry of the Interior and Justice, by Remigio Ceballos, to maintain stability in the country. In addition, he asked Domingo Hernández Lárez, strategic operational commander of the National Armed Forces, to redouble efforts to defend the Amazon jungle, especially in the south of Venezuela, in the Bolívar state, where, according to his own admission, criminal groups from dedicated to the destruction of the environment, in search of gold.

“There must be coordination between the peace quadrants, the police forces and the popular power with the military forces for stability and enjoyment of citizen tranquility.”

This year, in the country, at least until September, a total of 36.5 tons of drugs had been seized, mostly cocaine, the product of a special military deployment in border regions, according to official data.

In anti-drug operations related to the special deployment of the FAN, which has mobilized at least 25,000 security personnel across the borders, there have been 6,155 arrests.

Hernández Lárez has repeated on several occasions that “the work is being done,” but Venezuela continues to be on the black list of the 22 countries that, for the United States, fail to comply with their international commitments against drug trafficking or are platforms for drug trafficking. In this case, our nation shares a place with Latin American territories such as Mexico, Colombia, Honduras, Nicaragua, among others.
