Face to face

Face to face

There are issues that are not forgotten, even though they are no longer on the public agenda. For example, it is not forgotten that a motorcyclist, who makes a living as a delivery man, was abusively beaten on the public highway by an abusive man who thought he was powerful. The event was filmed and the aggressor presented himself to the Public Ministry, refrained from testifying and it is not known what the investigations are up to. Was the victim paid for medical expenses and days of recovery that he has not worked? Even if it had been, the beating should be sanctioned. You can’t go through life discharging personal fights with whoever you come across.

In the citizen’s memory there are also the acts of municipal corruption, discovered red-handed, both in the tax collection office and in the department that administers the cemeteries in the city. Who is and what sanction received the man who occupied a public office of the cemetery to extort money? Who let him do it? And the municipal that was found with Bs 10,000 in his pocket has already stopped working or continues to get rich at the expense of the citizen? What does the mayor have to say about it?

There is no bathroom in town that is enough to cover the sun with a finger, especially when it has been evident that the municipal offices are used to extort money from the population. Politicians believe that they can avoid their responsibilities by making speeches, disqualifying the adversary or making fun of situations.

Nor is it forgotten that there is no true Ombudsman and that, without saying anything, the interim official who occupies that space has been extended.
