Exercise of power collectively part of the legacy of Chávez

part of the legacy of Commander Hugo Chavez was to state that “power is not reduced only to the State, but rather it is possible to exercise it collectively” the political analyst, Carolys Pérez, highlighted this Monday in a television interview.

On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the physical departure of Commander Chávez, Pérez highlighted his teachings, and said that in times of revolution, reflection has focused on transforming power into actions, reports AVN.

“The actions are what will allow you to exercise power to transform those things with which one may agree (…) as a people, as women, he told us that it was possible for someone like us to come to power,” she said .

In this sense, she praised the feminist legacy of the Commander Hugo Chavez: “During the Revolution we were told that we were not only protagonists of our history but that we had also been protagonists of the first Independence.” And he added that a structure has been taking shape for women to effectively assume power.

In this regard, he stressed that with actions such as taking heroines to the Pantheon and placing the names of female figures in the public arena, the role of women was vindicated.

In addition, Pérez stressed that Chávez raised the self-esteem of the people and taught them never to give up.

“He taught us that everything is possible if we work,” he stressed.

In his dissertation, he indicated that during the World Meeting for the Validity of the Bolivarian Thought of Commander Hugo Chávez in the 21st Century, which culminated this Sunday in Caracas, important methods for further study were heard.

“A community member said that every revolutionary, every revolutionary has to study, that whoever does not study, even threatens the revolution, and that is also a teaching of Commander Chávez,” she concluded.
