The Executive power ordered that they be granted Funeral honors to the mortal remains of former Minister Eduardo Bonomiwho died at dawn at his home in Parque del Plata as a result of a cardiorespiratory arrest.

The resolution considered that the late leader of the Popular Participation Movement (MPP) joined the cabinet, something he did at the head of the Interior during the presidency of José Mujica and the second term of government of Tabaré Vázquez. He was also Minister of Labor and Social Security during the first term of the left-wing coalition.

The provision was authorized by the acting president Beatriz Argimón and establishes that the expenses of the burial that will be carried out in the Buceo cemetery are to be paid by the National Treasury.

Bonomi was veiled during the morning at the headquarters of the Popular Participation Movement (MPP). In the afternoon he was transferred to the Hall of Lost Steps, where political leaders and government authorities have come to bid him farewell.
