The telecommunications company Entel reported this Thursday that there will be no fireworks show at the tower of the same name, located in Santiago. This, because the provider “did not have the necessary permits”, they pointed out from the company.
“Although this 2022 had in his plans to resume the traditional New Year’s celebration with a show that, among other components, had fireworks as part of the proposal, he finally decided not to carry out this activity, since the provider did not have today the necessary permits according to current regulations,” Entel said in a statement.

“The purpose was to resume the tradition that Entel began 30 years ago, and invite everyone who wanted to join in a meeting and celebration space in downtown Santiago to share on a very special date,” they added.
“However, compliance with regulations and the safety of people will always be a priority for the company,” the company concluded.
Entel held the fireworks show for the last time on January 1, 2019. They canceled the following year due to the social outbreak. Meanwhile, the subsequent ones were suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
