Eight years and eight months in prison, Camilo Andrés Campo Vergara, 24, was sentenced for the crimes of attempted murder in a homogeneous and successive contest, reported the Attorney General’s Office.

According to the investigation, the sentenced young man, who was homeless, He entered his mother’s house located in the municipality of La Estrella, in the north of Valle de Aburrá and there he attacked her with a knife because she did not want to give him food.

In the midst of this situation, the aggressor’s grandmother, 63 years old, stood in the middle of both of them and received several stab wounds. Despite the attack, the women managed to leave the building and sought refuge in the house of a neighbor who was also attacked when trying to close the gate so that the attack would not continue.

Camilo Andrés Campo Vergara, was captured minutes after this attack by police officers, who were forced to subdue the perpetrator by force. The knife used in the aforementioned attacks was seized from the prisoner.

The convicted youth reached a judicial agreement with the Prosecutor’s Office and He was sentenced as an accomplice for the three attempted murders, detailed the judicial authorities.
