The departmental mayor Gabriel Gabbiani (Colorado Party – Citizens) sent to the Municipality of Colonia (IDC) a Request for Information to learn details of the tender launched by the commune with the aim of developing a design for the new “Artisans Market” , from Colonia del Sacramento.
Opportunely, the IDC informed that, “through the Directorates of Promotion and Development, Architecture, Heritage, Tourism and the Area of International Cooperation and Projects, it presented the Interior Development Fund (FDI) -which works in the orbit of the Office of Planning and Budget (OPP) seeking to promote the regional or local development of the interior and favor the decentralization of activities, through the financing of programs and plans- an initiative aimed at recycling the shed next to the former train station of Colonia del Sacramento so that
in its place the new Mercado de los Artesanos works”.
“Once this proposal was approved by the OPP, the Intendancy launched the Abbreviated Tender No. 47/2021, with the aim of developing a design for the new market that ‘contributes to the strengthening of cultural heritage and promotes the recognition of artisans as builders of identity’, an aspiration that seems highly meritorious to us”, points out the Colorado mayor.
By virtue of this, “the old shed next to the railway station would be reconditioned to provide a space for elaboration, exhibition and commercialization for artisans, as well as a place of cultural integration of excellence, incorporated into the Historical Circuit of the capital city.”
By virtue of this, Gabbiani requested that “it be reported if the opening of offers took place on December 16, 2021, as planned, or if it was extended; if the opening has been carried out, the data of the bidders and copies of the proposals corresponding to each one are provided; and in case the opening has been extended, indicate for what reasons and what is the new date established for it.
Likewise, the mayor of Ciudadanos requested to know “who make up the Adjudication Advisory Commission that understood or will understand the award decision.”
