A vehicle slipped and after hitting a pole of the power lines fell off a bridge leaving the driver trapped for long hours in Puerto Plata
The accident occurred at 4:30 am this Monday in the municipal district of Maimón, San Felipe de Puerto Plata.
The driver was identified as Alexauri Acosta Vargas, a 26-year-old resident according to his ID in the municipality of Villa Isabela in Puerto Plata.
The fire department of that demarcation reported that they had to use extraction equipment and a crane to be able to remove the victim from the bridge and deliver him to a 9-1-1 medical unit to be stabilized and transferred to the Ricardo Limardo hospital in Puerto Plata. .
The 9-1-, firefighters San Felipe, Civil Defense, Amber Rescue, National Police, Digesett and Road Safety participated in the rescue.
