DR registers 511 active cases of COVID-19

The Ministry of Public Health reports that the Dominican Republic registers 511 active cases of COVID-19 and 102 new infected.

The epidemiological bulletin of the health entity reports that in the last four weeks the positivity stands at 4.47%.

The institution says that in the last 24 hours there were no reports of deaths from coronavirus, so the accumulated number of deaths remains at 4,384. The lethality is situated at 0.68%.

During yesterday’s session, 1,925 samples of COVID-19of which 1,092 were to detect the virus and 833 to follow up on people already infected.

In addition, the bulletin details that since the disease arrived in the country, 3,664,107 samples have been carried out.

Regarding hospital occupation, 24 people are admitted in stable conditions, six are in intensive care units, while only one is connected to a ventilator.

To date, 4,088 health workers, 3,698 pregnant women and 81,973 under 20 years of age have been infected in the country.
