Dr. Kevin Cedeño: ‘Since January, 295 confirmed cases have been reported in Western Panama’


Cedeño also referred to the cases of Covid-19, detailing that for West Panama they handle 991 positive cases, of which there are 50 hospitalized.

With the arrival of the rains, the increase in mosquito breeding sites and dengue cases for the province of West Panama is worrying, as announced by Dr. Kevin Cedeño, regional director of Health for West Panama.

He indicated that the community has to reflect because dengue is a deadly disease. “In Western Panama there have been no deaths. Since January, 295 confirmed cases have been reported, three with warning signs,” she added.

Cedeño also referred to the cases of Covid-19, detailing that for West Panama they handle 991 positive cases, of which there are 50 hospitalized.

He said that they keep vaccinating in the health centers from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm in the health centers. In addition, there are hepatitis vaccination days at Anclas Mall and Westland Mall.
