Director of Market 4 apologizes to the Bolivian community

 

“To those who could feel offended by the unfortunate statements, and above all to those who make up the Bolivian community, the apologies of the case! I hope this doesn’t happen again and we can work together to regularize and order the M4! No to discrimination! ”, Juan Villalba, director of Mercado 4, wrote on his Twitter account.

This morning a municipal delegation intervened the boxes of the Bolivian merchants, because supposedly they are in default regarding the payment of the canon and regarding the space that they can use on the sidewalk to display their merchandise.

However, before this operation, Villalba had announced over the weekend that he would request a report from the Migration Directorate on the situation in which these people are in the country and if they have permission to work.

He also said that he would ask the Ministry of Labor to monitor compliance with social security for Paraguayans who work for Bolivians.

“For more jobs for all Paraguayans and all foreigners who comply with the laws and regulations. Or do you think that some Paraguayan who reacts like this abroad will have some kind of contemplation with them. Equality before the laws”
