Deputy Commissioner Villarreal was not fired, but transferred

After a publication that referred to the alleged dismissal of Deputy Commissioner Pablo Villarreal, this Wednesday, March 29, the National Police clarified that the uniformed man has not been dismissed from the institution but was transferred to the Bocas del Toro Police Zone, to comply operational order services.

The Police indicated that this transfer is made using the legal powers that the entity has based on Organic Law 18, of June 3, 1997.

This law establishes that the police have the power to carry out the transfers of the units to different Zones, Areas, Dependencies and Service of the Police Institution.
