The president of the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament, Venezuela chapter, Ángel Rodríguez, welcomed the holding in Argentina on October 27 of a meeting between the foreign ministers of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and their peers from the European Union (EU). , since he considers that it will be an important rapprochement for peace and complementarity between both regions.
The Venezuelan legislator stressed that the meeting will serve to promote integration between the two blocs that, despite cultural differences, “there are more various aspects that identify us and unite us than those that divide us.”
In the same way, he added that “we have a promising, sovereign and integrating future between both regions ahead of us”.
The day before, the Argentine Foreign Ministry will hold a meeting with the 32 Foreign Ministers that make up CELAC to refine details that will be part of the agenda of the CELAC-EU meeting.
This meeting, which was convened by Argentina, as president pro tempore of the regional organization, will bring together the ministers of Foreign Affairs of CELAC and the EU, with the aim of strengthening the bi-regional dialogue and refreshing the historical, cultural and human ties that unite both blocs. geopolitical.
