In the early hours of the morning on Tuesday, the plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies generally approved the social security reform project.
A little after one in the morning, it was approved with 54 votes from the ruling party out of 97 deputies present.
At the beginning of the session, the deputy of the National Party for the department of Colonia, Dr. Mario Colman, had written on his networks that it was about “a fair and necessary social security reform, an imperative of the ethics of responsibility for give economic and financial sustainability to the current system, but above all a commitment to future generations.
The session will continue in the afternoon, when its articles are voted on and with it the changes made by the Cabildo Abierto and the Colorado Party.
Voting can be done article by article or by chapters, it will depend on the agreement between the deputies to speed up the session or not.
All the legislators of the government coalition have the certain expectation that on Thursday an extraordinary session will be summoned in the Chamber of Senators to vote on the modifications imposed in the bill.
