Delcy Rodríguez arrived in Brussels to participate in the Celac-EU Summit

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, arrived this Sunday in Brussels, Belgium, in order to participate in the III Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac) and the European Union (EU).

Vice President Rodríguez was received by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, Yván Gil, and the Venezuelan ambassador to the EU, Jorge Valero.

Through her account on the social network Twitter, the Executive Vice President indicated that Venezuela will advocate respectful relations between nations at the summit.

“On behalf of Pdte. @NicolasMaduro We have arrived in Brussels to participate in the III EU-CELAC Summit. The Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy advocates respectful relations between equals and is the voice of our people in the world, ”he wrote on the social network.

Until now, it is known that 28 Celac delegations are already in Brussels.

The Celac-UE summit will take place between July 17 and 18 in the European nation.

In this regard, they urged the promotion of a true bi-regional strategic association, which “promotes the expansion of inclusive and mutually advantageous cooperation in high-priority areas, such as post-pandemic economic recovery, development financing, confronting climate change, the food security”, among other areas of common interest.
