Despite the volatility of the market, the demand for long-term corporate debt issues on the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV) continues. Between May and June, companies are expected to raise, through 12 placements, a total of 33.5 billion pesos.
“We are estimating that there will be more than 33,000 million pesos placed in the next two months, we will have 50% more than what we had in the entire first quarter of this year, which was double the first quarter of last year” assured Jose-Oriol BoschCEO of the BMV.
During January and March 2021, the amount of resources raised by companies in this market totaled 9,115 million pesos and in the same period of this 2022, the amount was 21,000 million pesos.
For this second quarter Arca Continental will issue 4,350 million pesos; the government of the State of Mexico, 3,000 million pesos; HIR House, 700 million pesos; and Fortaleza Materials, 2,000 million pesos.
