The resignation from the Socialist Party of the former candidate for the Presidency of the Republic Daniel Martínez sparked controversy within the political community. The renewing wingwhich has been reduced to a minority under the orthodox leadership of deputy Gonzalo Civila, circulated a note making known his discomfort over the “bleeding” of leadersespecially as a result of the departure of the former mayor of Montevideo.
