The tenth edition of Cyber Monday reaches its second day and, so far, the event has seen a 191% increase in turnover, compared to last year, which means that there was a great boost in sales.
According to data from the CACE (Argentine Chamber of Electronic Commerce), which organizes the eventduring the first day of the Cyber Monday1.3 million people browsed the web portal, which represented an increase of 105% over the first day of the 2021 edition.
Likewise, the average ticket on the official page of Cyber Monday stood at $13,214 and “almost 80% of the purchase orders registered some discount or promotion”, according to the CACE.
It should be remembered that, this year, the event has more than 1,000 participating brands in its 12 categories: Electro and Techno; Trips; Furniture, Home and Deco; clothing and footwear; Sports and Fitness; Food and drinks; Cosmetics and Beauty; Cars and Motorcycles; Babies and Children; Entrepreneurs; Services and Miscellaneous.
Regarding the type of best-selling products on the first day, the CACE highlighted that there were televisions, air conditioners and notebooks, whose sales were also driven by the Now 30 program.
Likewise, the travel category had a sales record, since the item offers important promotions and discounts, which many citizens take advantage of in the framework of the upcoming summer vacations.
In this regard, the Institutional Director of CACE, Gustavo Sambucetti, stated: “Based on the metrics of the most clicked products in the first hours of this Cyber Monday, there is a great interest on the part of users towards products in the electronics and technology category. The time of the year and the proximity to the dispute over the Soccer World Cup support this first scenario.”
When does Cyber Monday end?
This year, the event will last three days, meaning that citizens can take advantage of the promotions to buy all kinds of products until tomorrow, Wednesday, November 2.
