Finca de Cheremos was a polygon

La Victoria, a farm whose property is attributed to Oswaldo José Cheremos Carrasquel (El Pelón), cataloged as a key part of the Tren del Llano, was used as a firing range, according to military sources. The aforementioned rural property is located in the Los Recortes sector, San José de Unare parish, Pedro Zaraza municipality, Guárico.

In said farm, 180 percussion cartridges were located: 90 caliber .38 and the same number caliber 9 mm, according to a report from Detachment 341 of the Bolivarian National Guard to which we had access.

Cheremos himself was the one who explained to the GNB agents the reason for so many percussion cartridges scattered on the cattle farm. He told them that it was because of the target practice that some potentates from the Pedro Zaraza municipality were doing on that property.

That revelation made by Pelón Cheremos occurred on Friday, October 21, when he was arrested. That day, Cheremos was in Terrazas del Tamanaco, a commercial establishment located in Zaraza, in front of the GNB Detachment.

The commander of that establishment had already initiated the investigation as a result of the video where alleged members of the Sinaloa cartel international drug trafficking gang are observed. In that material, Cheremos appears receiving these people at the La Victoria farm in what looks like a party with the presence of “influencers”.

By virtue of this, the commander of the GNB crossed the avenue and entered Terrazas del Tamanaco where Cheremos Carrasquel was, to whom he tells him that he has a few questions about an ongoing investigation. Charemos accepted and travels in his Toyota Land Cruiser Sport Wagon. The commander crossed on foot.

Once in the Detachment, the commander showed Cheremos the video to which he replied that it was “a j…ra”. And it is at that moment that Cheremos invited the soldier to the farm to show him the place where the video was recorded.

Once at the farm, the commander asked about the weapons seen in the video and Cheremos showed them to him. But when asked about the permits, the farmer replies that he has “contacts up there.”

The soldier omitted such remarks and informed Cheremos that from that moment on he would be detained. Once confined, the Detachment called many of those potentates who used the farm for target practice.

Despite the calls, Cheremos was transferred to the Palace of Justice in Caracas where he was charged with trafficking weapons of war, among other crimes.

Judge Macsimino Márquez decreed the deprivation of liberty and set the headquarters of the Bolivarian National Police in La Yaguara as the place of detention.

Three members of the Tren del Llano criminal organization were arrested by GNB agents in Tucupido (Guárico), allegedly involved in extortion and terrorism, according to file MP-226753-2022.

Those captured are: Juan Carlos Pérez Pumero, Antonio Adolfo Rodríguez Machuca and Anderson José Valera Herrera. They seized 32 7.62×51mm cartridges destined for rifles.
